School Uniform
At Woodlea we value school uniform as we believe it helps children feel a sense of belonging to a community and a sense of pride in themselves and their school. We believe that all children, wearing the school uniform, help to create an atmosphere of learning and it instils in the children a culture of coming to school to do their very best.
Uniform with a logo is entirely optional and items purchased from other retailers (which fit the uniform requirements) can be worn instead. Items with our logo are available to purchase from www.gooddies.co.uk, which can also be accessed via the QR code below. All items, apart from the caps pictured at the bottom, are available to order online to be delivered to your home. The caps will be available to purchase from school.

The Woodlea school uniform is as follows:
- Black or grey school trousers, shorts, skirts, pinafores or plain black tracksuit bottoms. Leggings are not allowed other than for PE (unless there is a medical or sensory reason that we have been made aware of). Black sport style/cycling shorts may only be worn for PE.
- White polo shirt (not green or a t-shirt).
- Green jumper or cardigan (with or without the logo).
- Black smart school shoes or plain black smart trainers. Boots (except where a child needs these for support due to a medical reasons or agreed upon reason with the Headteacher) or trainers that are not plain black are not allowed.
- Plain black, grey or white socks.
- In the Summer Term, children may wear a green and white checked dress. Green and white checked jumpsuits are not advised, as we want our children to be as independent as possible and these can be tricky when using the toilet.
Hair accessories
These should be simple, smart and in keeping with the new logo colours (green, white, black or orange).
PE Kit
- Plain green or white t-shirt. A green t-shirt with our logo is available to purchase.
- Plain black shorts or skort (if shorts are cycling style, these must be on/just above the knee).
- Plain black tracksuit bottoms or black leggings.
- Plain black sweatshirt or hoodie (a black hoodie with school logo is available to purchase).
- Sports trainers (any colour) or black plimsolls.
Optional green coats with a logo, winter hats and PE bags are also available to purchase.
We require all children from YR-2 to have a green bookbag (with or without the school logo) rather than a backpack. This is to prevent our beautiful new books being damaged in backpacks and to create more space in our cloakroom areas. We also have an optional KS2 bag available on the website, which is an ideal size for a chapter book. We have lunch trolleys for packed lunch bags. If your child is staying with someone else overnight and needs to bring in a backpack for this, that is perfectly acceptable.

Jewellery including earrings
For safety reasons, rings, necklaces and bracelets of any kind are not permitted, unless worn for cultural reasons that we have been made aware of. Children may wear simple stud earrings, which must be removed for P.E. Newly pierced ears must be covered for PE until they can be removed.
School caps (any other suitable cap to protect from the sun may be worn, in any colour or pattern)
